The Gossaigaon B. Ed. College which was established in the year 1995 on 30th April is a self financed B.ED. College, has been offering 2 years B.Ed. Course, 2 year D. El. ED. Course and 3 year (TDC) BA course. The motto of the college is Quality and security and the vision is to establish this institution as a CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE for Teacher education. Since the beginning this college has been working hard for giving quality education to both pre and in service teacher trainees.
This college is recognized by NCTE for both 2 year B.Ed. and 2 year D.El.ED. Course and permanently affiliated to Bodoland University. The college is run by Executive committee of Gossigaon B.ED. College, which is a non- profit making body (society) registered under societies Act XXl of 1860 (Registration No. Rs/KJR/253/C/75 of 2002-2003).
It is situated at a very congenial environment far away from hustle and bustle surrounding. It has its own plot of land measuring 11-B-0K-6L (9B-0K-16L,1B-4K-10L), RCC and Assam Type building, boys and Girls hostel, principal’s quarter, playground, pond, RCC boundary wall, canteen, Guneswar Mushahary Library, ICT lab etc.
D. El. Ed. Course for in service teachers under ODL and KKHSOU was also offered successfully.
This college has also NOC from BTR Govt. for running B.Sc. and P.G. (in Arts). We are trying our best to introduce in the coming days.
I am really pleased and honored to work as a principal in this premier teacher education institution since 2005. Both the teaching and non teaching staffs have contributed immensely towards shaping the present status of the college.
I believe that with the blessings of intellectuals, well wishers, guardians, alumni we will be able to conquer the enemy.
